Your Cancer Program is an important constituent of the American College of Surgeons (The College), Commission on Cancer (CoC). The College’s CoC serves as the recognized accrediting body for your program. In that capacity, The College serves as a Business Associate to your program. In order to comply with the HIPAA privacy regulations, The College has entered into a Business Associate Agreements (BAA) with your program. The following links elaborate on the meaning of this relationship and how The College has responded to the HIPAA privacy laws.
