Clinical Congress and the Red Cross

As you may know, every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. The Red Cross Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region provides lifesaving blood to more than 50 local hospitals and must have over 1000 people give blood and platelets each weekday to meet hospital demand. Accident victims as well as patients with cancer, sickle cell disease, blood disorders and other illnesses receive lifesaving transfusions every day. The ACS can help our regions supply of blood reach an optimal safe level.
